1. Initial Contact (Call/Email)
- Initial Inquiry: If you are interested in working with us, feel free to submit a request through our site, call, or send an email at contact@TransitionsOS.com. For existing clients, you can send a request through our LMN portal to confirm what services you're looking to have done.
- Introduction: Once we receive a request, the first step is a conversation where you explain the scope of the project. We will ask for basic details about what you need (e.g., lawn care, landscape design, hardscaping, tree removal, etc.).
- Questions: You'll be asked about the size of the area, any specific features you're interested in—such as plants, materials, or services—and your budget. What is your timeline? Are you trying to get your project done before a specific event? Please be sure to share that with us.
- Details about Your Property: We will need your address, ask what type of property (residential, commercial), and any specifics like access restrictions or existing landscaping.
2. Scheduling an On-Site Visit (If Needed)
- Site Assessment: For more complex projects (e.g., landscaping design, drainage), we will schedule a visit to your property. This allows us to walk the property with you while assessing sun exposure, current landscaping, and determining if there are any issues like drainage or pest control concerns. For services like seasonal maintenance, lawn cutting, or fertilizer, we will do a quick visit to your property and you will not need to be present.
- Site Evaluation: In evaluating your property we will take photos, make notes, and measure spaces to understand the scope better.
3. Discussion of Options and Design (For Complex Projects)
- Design Consultation: If you're interested in a custom landscape design or drainage system (plant layouts or drainage), we will provide design suggestions. This could include offering material samples, discussing plant varieties, and advising on the best areas to allocate your budget.
- Collaborating on Preferences: See our blog post to prepare for what types of questions or information we will be seeking your feedback on during this consultation.
4. Proposal and Estimate Preparation
- Detailed Estimate: Once we have all the necessary information, we will prepare a formal quote. The estimate will break down the costs for materials, labor, and any additional services.
5. Reviewing the Quote
- Call: We will call and walk you through the quote to ensure that everything is clear. You can ask about specific materials, labor costs, and the breakdown of pricing.
- Revisions (if needed): If there are changes after our discussion, we will revise the quote and design and resend the updated quote.
6. Approval and Scheduling
- Agreement: Once you agree to the quote, we will have you sign a contract. This contract will outline the scope of the work, the total price, and the payment plan.
- Deposit: Depending on the scope, we may require a deposit before work begins with the remainder due upon completion. The deposit covers the purchase of materials for your project.
- Scheduling: We will schedule a time to begin the work.
7. Project Execution
- Work Begins: On the scheduled date (weather permitting), the crew will arrive and begin the work according to the agreed-upon plan.
- Communication: Throughout the project, we may provide updates or reach out if any issues or changes arise (e.g., weather delays or unforeseen challenges).
8. Project Completion and Final Walkthrough
- Inspection: Once the project is finished, our Account Contact will perform a final inspection to ensure everything has been completed as promised.
- Walkthrough: You will likely be invited to walk through the work with them to ensure you're satisfied with the results. Please raise any concerns or request small adjustments at this time—addressing issues on-site ensures immediate resolution rather than scheduling a follow-up visit.
9. Payment and Follow-Up
- Final Payment: Once you're happy with the work, you'll make the final payment as per the agreement.
- Post-Project Care: We will send care directions as needed or visit your property if you choose to schedule monthly maintenance services.
10. Feedback and Future Services
- Customer Feedback: We send out satisfaction surveys to ensure we are constantly improving and growing. Please consider writing us a positive review as it helps support a local business and refine our future services.
- Ongoing Maintenance: If you're interested, we may suggest a seasonal maintenance plan to keep your landscape looking its best, including lawn mowing, fertilization, or seasonal pruning.
